About Brian

Like most recently-graduated English majors, Brian is working a completely unrelated job and living below the poverty line while he figures things out.

At UNCW Brian took a wide range of writing courses, but his most advanced work was in document design and urban geography. He learned a lot about vernacular architecture, the Frankfurt Kitchen, and visualizing data. Because he has always been a spatially oriented person, he collects and memorizes maps. His education and personal interest overlap on the topic of design. Big design. City design. He believes in creating a sustainable livable environment. He is also curious of the different ways technology and city planning overlap, as well as urban lighting, urban design, and public transportation.

Brian also has a vested interested in public health & urban spaces. He has invested a great deal of personal research in food availability, food affordability and food accessibility in urban areas. His interests in public health also includes air quality, noise control, and urban walkability.
